Nhamundá-Rose sunt cel putin la fel de pretentiosi ca Heckelii la calitatea apei. Hibrid F2, Blue Cover-Blue Diamond Asa le fixez de acvariile mai mari. Acestia sunt rezultatul unei selectii incepute in urma cu 6 ani.

Se cresc mai bine in volum mic, dar trebuie respectate curatenia, schimburile de apa si aerisirea buna, fara curent intens de apa. Bazinele se mentin la volum redus pentru a putea face usor schimburi masive de apa la interval de 2-3 zile.
